In partnership with Covering Kids & Families of Indiana (CKF), Opportunity Alliance is working to breakdown barriers to accessing and understanding healthcare coverage programs by providing certified benefits navigators to help individuals reach community benefits they might otherwise struggle with.
The Housing Stability Program provides short-term case management support to individuals and families experiencing housing instability. Services are intended to promote long-term housing stability and are provided based on eligibility, funding availability, and program capacity.
The White Flag Shelter is a partnership between the Opportunity Alliance of Southern Indiana and Nomad Church Collective. The Shelter operates from November 15 – April 15th, offering overnight shelter for those in need during the coldest months of the year. If temperatures fall below 35 degrees during the evening hours, the shelter will open.
Opportunity Alliance’s Street Outreach Program connects directly with individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness throughout Southern Indiana. Our team meets people where they are at- out on the street, in encampments, in vehicles, and other places not meant for housing- in order to build relationships and create a pathway toward stability.
Since COVID-19, our organization grew beyond responding to homelessness to providing housing stability, prevention, case management, and resources to help build long-term stability. Opportunity Alliance reflects who we are today, a broader organization focused on creating opportunities for individuals and families through ongoing community collaboration and direct client support
We vision a future where each resident of Southern Indiana will have the economic opportunity, support, and resources to be financially self-sufficient and able to live in and maintain quality, affordable housing.
